soweto uprisings . com ::I remember on the evening of the 15 June 1976, when I was representing my school Lofentse Secondary as a member of the SRC at the ore D-Day meeting at 6 pm at D.O.C.C. in Orlando East to finalize the coordination of the march the following day. My task was clear and simple. I must mobilize my school, take the the Mooki route and converge in font of Orlando stadium.
The following day at 12:00 when all schools were converged and we stated marching peacefully with our placards singing revolutionary songs yielding or placards proceeded marching taking the New Canada road only to be intercepted by a aggressive road block with military vehicles manned by security forces parked across the road trying to stop us from passing. Failing to stop us, they released their vicious dogs on us, and started shooting with life bullets and teargas canisters at us.
I felt like I was experiencing my worst nightmare, when I tried to duck bullets(which was impossible) avoiding to be shot with a teargas canister holding my breath and escape the vicious police dogs, only to land in the most sympathetic place running away. I was among the few who chose the unsympathetic Noorgesig which seemed like a ghost town, to look for tap water to wash the burning sensation of teargas from our faces, only to worsen it. Little did I know that my friend Lotta from Matjeni Primary, was already gunned down by the security forces. Lotta was among the first victims of the uprising

Money4Nothing
I woke up early one morning opened the fridge and realized that I have no milk for my favorite muesli breakfast. I knew mine was a long walk to the unknown supermarket that I once saw when driving past, with my wife on our way to town.
I desperately needed to buy at least a liter of fresh milk for my dry muesli breakfast. I particularly love to the fruity versions.Apart from some crunchy granola versions, the nutty ones can sometimes be too nutty and too crunchy for my pre molars.
But first I went cyber to check my emails and what’s trending on twitter,I didn't want to miss the usual drama in Parliament especially since the controversial Brine Molefe was appointed as a Member of Parliament.
I was also expecting an email from my publishers regarding my book “THE AZANIAN”, I couldn't be happier to use it as a scapegoat for me to roam around the web.

I put on my , walk friendly gear and was off to the streets looking for the unknown supermarket via the according to me, the tranquilest environment with indigenous trees populated by different birds, and various breeds of dogs, silently barking acknowledging their territories.Consequently I decided to lower my pace to "let the sleeping dogs lie", looking eastwards minding my own business.
It was not long after first light when suddenly my breath was taken away by this super awesome sunrise and I knew in an instant, It will be gone as it appeared.
And I stood still, like a robot, went straight for my 21- pixels Sony cellphone camera, to capture the perfect moment of the awesome sunrise.
But I soon realized that I was dreaming as I heard my alarm clock emergency like ring-tone-that brought me back to reality and made think of the person I’m allergic to, my boss. And my dream was gone, gone too soon, maybe forever...
